Since
establishing "The Classic Goblins Lineup" in the mid-'90s, the Goblins
have been pushing the limits of pop music presentation. Combining elements of
garage rock, hardcore punk, performance art, and vaudeville, they have created
a unique series of concerts, recordings, and video projects. These include the
children's special "Passover In Puppettown," the critically acclaimed
theater piece "He Is My Rock,Will You Be My Roll?," a series of PSAs
recorded for college radio stations, and a fully-costumed Egyptian Rock extravaganza
at the The Oriental Institute Museum of Ancient History.
In the tradition of the Residents, the Unknown Comic and Kiss, the Goblins never
appear in public without their masks and costumes. All have been fired from
jobs for refusing to unmask.
